Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Please email us at info@chesapeakehfh.org to request a copy of Chesapeake Habitat's most recent audited financial statement. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Donor Relationships and Privacy

Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity ensures that:
• donor privacy is respected at all times.  Information pertaining to donors (i.e. address, phone number, donor history) is kept confidentially within the organization.  Our data base/mailing list will not be sold, rented, or shared at any time.

• donor wishes are respected at all times.  As a matter of course, most gifts will be listed in our Annual Report, and some may be listed in grant requests or other documents in order to leverage additional funds.  However, if a donor requests that his or her gift remains anonymous, we will refrain from listing the gift in these or other documents.

• donors will be removed from our mailing list upon request.  We will also honor requests to limit the number of mailings we send per year, if the donor wishes.

• personal solicitations are free from undue influence or excessive pressure, and are respectful of the needs and interests of the donor or potential donor.
